Versace reavealed their new Icons collection on 3rd of April, but its star has been spotted wearing items fr om the brand much earlier.

Recently, we followed the Academy Awards ceremony, wh ere Cillian Murphy received the coveted Oscar statuette for the leading role in Christopher Nolan's film "Oppenheimer". The fans were glad for the actor and also appreciated his flawless appearance.

The nominee went on the red carpet in a classic tuxedo, complemented by a pleated shirt, black trousers, silk bow tie, oxfords and a brooch custom made for the actor.

Versace fashion house was responsible for Killian's Oscars outfit. According to Donatella Versace, he is capable of appreciating the work of designers and a well-cut suit.

Perhaps that's why the man was chosen to be the Versace Icon (the brand's ambassador) and became the character of the new campaign. Donatella considers him an outstanding actor who deserved his Oscar. The Italian designer finds him especially magnetic and mesmerising in front of the camera.

The shots of the new Versace collection were taken by fashion photographers Mert and Markus. The commercial video alludes to the 1990’s racy campaign of Versace and invites us behind the scenes of the photo shoot.

Oscar-winning Murphy is wearing basic menswear garments: round-neck T-shirt, black jacket, jumpers, trenches. These staples, suitable for a daily wardrobe, complemented by the iconic details of the fashion house like buckles and buttons featuring Medusa Biggie or Baroque accents. The collection offers upgraded pieces of the brand's signature designs, independent of fashion trends.

Besides that, Cillian handpicked the soundtrack for the clip together with Donatella. In the video we hear the song "Boys In The Better Land" by Irish band Fontaines D.C.. It is a nod to the actor's Irish roots.
