Celebration of Collaborations: Genius Moncler Project Took Place in Milan

In 2018, the Moncler brand has announced the launch of a new Moncler Genius project and asked different designers to create unique capsule collections. The famous brand called them to express their full creative potential and forget about any limits. Such cooperation has helped the brand to diversify the range and attract new customers, and the motto of the project was the phrase "One house, different voices". Genius Moncler FW 2020 show was held on Feb. 19 and opened Milan Fashion Week. This year, it combined works of eight designers.

The show took place at an abandoned factory warehouse, which for one day was turned into a large art space with white walls and columns. The show was opened by the JW Anderson collection that included bright down jackets, voluminous scarves with soft spikes, hats, bags and high boots.

Sergio Zambon continued the show. He focused on creating a solid everyday outerwear of different lengths for men and women. The Moncler Grenoble collection includes apparel for skiing with bright prints which were were inspired by suits for space travel.

Simone Rocha gave up the format of classic shows and showed a short film in which models presented items from the new collection. It included transparent trench coats with prints, light jackets of pastel colors with drapery, dresses and oversized puffers.

Models, presented by brand Craig Green, resembled the costumes of a modern samurai and costumes of aliens from other planets. Richard Quinn has shown his collection on the catwalk, which was decorated in the style of secret corridors of the space base.

In parallel with the main shows, Moncler presented three collections of accessories, including suitcases by Rimowa x Moncler, a clothing line for dogs by Couture Dog Poldo and showed the fashionable tour bus that the brand has customized together with the designer Rick Owens. It was put up for sale immediately after the show.
