Danielle, a member of the South Korean girl group NewJeans, became Celine's new ambassador

It has been a long time since K-Pop stars went international, not only in the music industry but also in fashion, film and art. They work more frequently with Western and European companies. Last week, Danielle, a member of the South Korean girl group NewJeans, became Celine's new ambassador. 

“Celine is pleased to announce that Danielle from NewJeans will represent the house as global ambassador,” the representatives shared on the brand’s page. 

The publication was followed by a black and white photo of Danielle wearing the Celine’s signature jeans, a cropped logo T-shirt and a classic blazer. Danielle wears practical and cute clothes as well as classic pieces. She has both a little black dress and oversize sweatshirts in her wardrobe. The idol's personal style should blend well with the elegant but daring mood of Celine, inspired by the creative director, Edy Slimane. 

The news provoked a strong reaction of fans. The pages of NewJeans and the brand were flooded with comments like:
“First YSL and now CELINE!? Literally my princess DANIELLE,". “The snatched waist?? The lethal face card?? Oh she’s serving!”. “GLOBAL IT GIRL,”. 

Danielle is not the first K-pop star to represent Celine. The fellow stars Lisa, from BLACKPINK, V from BTS and Korean actor Park Bo Gom have already worked with the fashion house. 

Each member of the girl group NewJeans is now a face of the global brand with Hein representing Louis Vuitton, Hanni working with Gucci, Minji with Chanel and Harin with Dior. Celine has become the third luxury brand Danielle has collaborated with. In 2023 Yves Saint Laurent Beauty and Burberry have already named her as their ambassador. Besides that, Danielle had collaborations with Levi's and Nike. In December 2023, all five members of NewJeans starred in a Nike Air Max campaign. 

The year 2024 promises to be fruitful for the girls. NewJeans has recently received the Group of the Year Award during the Billboard Women in Music celebration. On the red carpet, the quintet spilled the tea about  a potential tour and a new album this year.
