French house Rabanne has announced Gigi Hadid as the new face of its Million Gold For Her fragrance.

In the photos, Hadid literally shines in a gold dress with Swarovski crystals, designed by Rabanne's creative director Julien Dossena.

According to the press release, the supermodel is perfect for the role of an ambassador, embodying individuality and confidence.

‘In Gigi I see traits of those style icons who inspired Monsieur Rabanne, such as Jane Birkin and Jane Fonda. She adds her own unique personality, which makes her the perfect embodiment of the modern Rabanne woman,’ says the brand's vice president.

It was particularly moving for Hadid to be involved in this project, as Rabanne has always been associated with her youth. ‘Once upon a time, my first boyfriend often applied their iconic men's fragrance 1 Million. That golden bottle will always remain in my memory,’ the model recalls.

The Million Gold for Her fragrance is Rabanne's first floral perfume with notes of rose, white flowers and mineral musk.
