Paris Fashion Week welcomed Rochas AW 2020 show, where creative director of the brand, Alessandro Dell'Acqua, presented his last collection. The designer held this post for the past six years and announced his decision to leave last December. Now, he plans to focus on other projects and will develop his own brand N21.

Alessandro Dell'Acqua did not surrender to sadness and nostalgia, and brand’s fans immediately called the collection "the last party". It included monochrome oversized jackets, dresses and coats, adorned with delicate satin with fringe and feathers, blouses with sequins and rhinestones and a coat with animalistic prints.

The leitmotif of the autumn-winter 2020 collection was equilibrium, which is observed not only in the combination of pastel and bright colors but also in the balance between restraint and disco style. Clothes, made of simple fabrics and neutral shades, are necessarily complemented by unusual draping and asymmetrical silhouette, and the bright and shiny outfits are not overloaded with complex cuts and abundance of details.

Some of the looks seemed to be designed for breaking into disco party in the style of the 80’s, while others write an ode to practicality and routine. And, even here, the designer departs from the classic grey-white palette and invites girls to wear blue, orange and purple pantsuits and dresses with voluminous sleeves.

Focusing on clothing, Alessandro Dell’Aqua almost doesn’t accessorize his looks, but makes a bright accent on velvet platform heels and shoes with laces on the massive sole.
