The other day, the Canadian model and the mother of billionaire Elon Musk, Maye Mask posted a video on her ******* where she showed her runway walk. 71-year-old model appeared in an elegant style - her total black look was diluted with gold chains around the neck, sunglasses with voluminous frame and bright red lipstick. Turned up the song “Violence” by singer Grimes, Maye walked through her living room, from which, by the way, she made an excellent minimalistic runway. In this way, she expressed support for the A Common Thread initiative, created to help designers affected by coronavirus.

This project was launched by the American Council of Fashion Designers and Vogue magazine in 2003 in response to the 9/11 tragedy and how the crisis especially impacted emerging talent. In March this year, it was decided to change its focus due to the global pandemic:

“Today, as we face another crisis that is challenging the entire fashion and retail business, Vogue’s Anna Wintour and Tom Ford, as CFDA’s Chairman, decided to repurpose the 2020 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund into a fundraiser to aid fashion businesses most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. ⠀

Today marks the launch of CVFF’s “A Common Thread” fundraising and storytelling initiative spearheaded by Vogue and in collaboration with the CFDA. The goal is to raise both awareness and needed funds for those in the American fashion community who have been impacted by COVID-19.”

The video scored more than 80 thousand views and many approving comments. Grimes who is expecting a child from Elon Mask and will make Maye a grandmother soon, didn’t stay away too. The singer left a short but capacious comment under the post:

Amazing”, she said.
