The long-awaited Giorgio Armani Prive show took place in Paris. Many expected a perfect cut and luxurious fabrics, and we must say, that the new collection met all the expectations. The basis of the new collection is maxi skirts, loose trousers, fitted jackets, interesting textures and exquisite fabrics.
The designer used various of fabrics in his new collection - bugle beading, crystals, jet and mini baubles. But this season, Armani concentrated the majority of his collection around the Ikat, riffing subtly through the pattern's many variations; from Indonesian tie-dye to tighter squared bond Ikat Samarkand versions, to double Ikats from the Indian subcontinent.
The precise choice of colors - lacquer red, bright blue, black and white - leave a unique and distinctive imprint on the collection.
All the looks were effectively complemented with the massive multilayer accessories: earrings reaching the collarbone, large brooches and wide necklaces.
Despite a chilly Tuesday night in France, as the temperature plunged below zero, a front row included Reese Witherspoon, Juliette Binoche and Guillaume Canet.
