We’re always waiting for something fantastic from couture shows. This year, designers didn’t disappoint our expectations: wedding dresses from Elie Saab, time travel on the Chanel show and extravagant looks by Maison Margiela will long continue to excite our imagination. Special attention should be paid to the details of runway looks, namely the luxury jewelry: surreal earrings, elegant bracelets and simple necklace.

Elie Saab’s couture collection turned out to be so striking and original, and we paid attention to the jewelry in the last place. Well, we shouldn’t, because elegant Baroque earrings deserve no less attention than the lace dresses. Jewelry is made in an interesting geometric shape and encrusted with large crystals. However, it doesn’t look massive because of smooth lines.

In her new collection, Maria Grazia Chiuri presented women in the role of ancient Greek goddesses and Amazons, so it’s not surprising that jewelry from the catwalk shows an antique style. Crescent earrings complement gold-plated necklaces, while elegant headbands resemble the Laurel wreaths that adorned the heads of Olympic winners. Delicate veil adds some mystery and sensuality to the looks.

Earrings with colored feathers become a bright accent at the Valentino show. Natural elements in accessories are still on-trend. And if the spring-summer fashion show mostly featured shells, in Pierpaolo Piccioli’s couture collection more textured material were used. And he made the right decision: this jewelry, despite its pretentiousness, looks very noble and aristocratic.

Givenchy creative director Clare Waight Keller decided to add some playfulness to the couture show. Claire chose unusual earrings with colored threads for runway looks. No matter, this jewelry may resemble a decorative brush for curtains. These earrings work with asymmetrical outfits presented in the collection.

The correct form of the jewelry went well with bright outfits presented during Armani haute couture show. Round earrings from colored glass refer to the skills of the glassblowers from Murano. This jewelry seamlessly complements a cocktail dress and stylish everyday looks.

Still, the main wizard of the past Paris Fashion Week is Daniel Roseberry – creative director of the Schiaparelli brand. The maestro gave an unusual shape to massive earrings, decorated with pearls, so it looks like they are swaying in the wind. In some models, secret symbols are guessed, for example, the eyes of Fatima. Others are dominated by natural motifs: gilded shells, tree leaves and flowers.

The main discover of the show was unusual glasses, which were turned into a real work of art. The irregular shape and redundancy of the decoration refer us to the Baroque era. The key point is, that this accessory works with massive gilded earrings.

However, Schiaparelli kept on surprising: the designer presented interesting double brooches and a variation on the theme of a slave bracelet.
