The American retailer Levi's has released a capsule collection of the famous iconic 501 model on the occasion of the 149th anniversary in collaboration with Russian artists.
Famous Russian artists Kristina Ishiguro, Misha Most and Anka Akhalaya took part in the campaign called "Jeans that changed the world". All of them offered an original design for the famous jeans model.
For example, Misha was inspired by the memories of Perestroika, when Levi's jeans were valued as a currency. He decorated jeans with the prints of cellulose molecules, images of cotton and fern, and geometric shapes. Anka preferred prints of a green dragon and a red snake, while Christina's associations were Levi's brand symbols, a garter and keys hanging on a chain on the hip.
All of the works look very playful and resemble children's drawings, but lightness and childishness is exactly what buyers need in the post-COVID world. The results of this collaboration were exhibited in the digital space, you can also buy them on the official Levi's website.
