American designer Marc Jacobs took over Louis Vuitton in 1997 and has been in the position for 16 years, demonstrating elegance and unconventionality. His spring/summer 2001 collection is perhaps his most famous. In collaboration with Stephen Sprouse, he created several graffiti-painted pieces that changed Louis Vuitton's clean aesthetic.
