Moschino put on a fantastic show during the presentation of their new autumn-winter 2022 collection at Milan Fashion Week. Harp-women, models in watch shaped dresses and sofa dresses appeared in interiors stylized either as Stanley Kubrick's film A Space Odyssey or as a mansion from Beauty and the Beast. Instead of clutches they got shiny teapots, champagne ice buckets and mini-chandeliers hanging from their ears. There were also floor lamps women, screen dresses, candelabra hats and even mini-chairs on the head. For several looks the designers used cutlery and serving trays, stylized drawer handles in the shape of buttons. Moschino's surreal show with its baroque dresses reminded of living furniture that came out for a walk, playfully sparkling with gold and crystal.
That's how Moschino creative director Jeremy Scott saw haute couture this season. The collection turned out to be truly fabulous and luxurious. The show was attended by Hadid sisters: Gigi and Bella. Gigi closed the show in a gilded dress embellished with gold leaves, while Bella made a splash in a formfitting black strapless dress completed with high-top gloves.
