New York Fashion Week is in full swing. Last Monday, American brand Oscar de la Renta introduced its new autumn-winter 2020/2021 collection. Designer duo Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia created a collection of outfits for parties, inspired by the aesthetics of the 60’s.
The collection includes dresses with balloon hems that sounded like Oscar de la Renta. Cut of full skirts and bright colors resemble the previous spring-summer collections of designers. But we shouldn’t criticize them for the use of the proven techniques: more relevant shades definitely give outfits a new reading.

Some looks may subtly remind looks from Dior couture show, but this deceptive impression is created through the use of shades of gold. But in fact, these are quite original and interesting outfits, which combine glossy iridescence, feathers and fringe.

Speaking of feathers – they have become one of the main decorations of several looks. Kim and Garcia demonstrates that feathers are not going to lose their relevance and will still be considered as an interesting addition to the outfits, not only of classic white but of bright colors.

The duo surprised with the use of unexpected for Oscar de la Renta prints resembling optical illusion. Psychedelic motifs are the current trend of the SS season, and now we can be sure that they will be relevant throughout this year.

Casual looks also deserve our attention. The use of bright colors enlivens a classic and strict style. And if you look at the details, it becomes apparent: Laura and Fernando managed to add spice to even the seemingly "boring" grey kit with bright prints.
