The world famous Italian brand Marni, that belongs to the luxury segment of the fashion market, presented the Fall/Winter 2022 collection, inspired by the images of the fairy forest and magical creatures.

The show began with an unusual sound sequence: chaotic phrases addressed to nowhere were heard from the speakers: “Where will we go later?”, “Let's fix this moment together”, “To make it last forever” ... Then an impressive fashion show unfolded in front of the intrigued viewers, surreal and creepy at the same time.

On the podium, stylized as an abandoned forest path surrounded by a fantasy forest, appeared similar to elves, mermaids and goblins men and women. Their garments were the part of a beautiful story told by the Marni designers. The stories about good and evil, happiness and sadness, beauty and ugliness.

The models seemed to be created by the hands of a child who was asked to dream up high fashion: skewed hats, stretched torn sweaters, shapeless dresses and coats. Leaky knitwear contrasted with the naked skin of the models, and plaid suits complemented hats with rabbit ears. All clothing in the collection is hand-sewn from recycled fabrics. This is part of the magic of Marni's new era, as conceived by Marni's creative director Francesco Risso. The collection was complemented by studded rubber boots, leather pumps and matching bags. The dystopian fun on the catwalk ended with a beautiful performance: all the models stepped out of the shadows into the light and sat down at a long dining table strewn with fruits and dried flowers.
