Fashion house Schiaparelli presented the couture collection at Paris Fashion Week on January 24, 2022. The show was prepared by the French brand’ art director Daniel Roseberry.
Schiaparelli made the spring-summer collection with a bold bet on metal, primarily gold: sculptural silhouettes complemented entire structures: corsets, dresses and decorative elements was covered with precious metal or even made of it. The main color of the collection was black, but several memorable outfits was made in white.
The authors of majestic and graceful outfits got inspiration from art and mythology. Some images guessed the references to Medusa Gorgon, and some elements were similar to the armor of Greek warriors. Earrings, body jewelry and bags in this collection looked like sculptures. One of them repeated the shape of the face of model Maggie Maurer, the main muse of the designer. Among others, model Christy Ponomar from Ukraine took part in the show — it was her couture debut.
