The Parisian couture house Dior and the Italian brand Vespa (this is exactly what Audrey Hepburn's heroine rode in the movie "Roman Holiday") have joined forces to release a collaboration, the first news of which began to appear last year. The collection, named Vespa 946 Christian Dior and dedicated to the joys of a carefree summer life, includes a white and gold scooter that Maria Grazia Chiuri, Creative Director of Dior women’s collections, worked on, a helmet and a trunk case.
The saddle of the scooter notably boasts the Dior Oblique motif, designed by Marc Bohan in 1967. The same pattern covers a matching top case that is meant to be fixed on the luggage rack, while a helmet incorporates the Dior Oblique as well. The Vespa 946 Christian Dior is slated to become available for purchase in spring 2021, in Dior boutiques worldwide as well as a selection of Piaggio’s Motoplex stores.
