On July 24, the Italian fashion house Armani celebrates its 40th year. In honor of the upcoming anniversary, the brand decided to analyze how Armani's fashion looks have changed over last four decades.

In collaboration with Spanish artist Patricia Bolanos, the brand has produced a series of illustrations that showcase the evolution of the fashion house: from the austere double-breasted coats of 1981 to more feminine fitted silhouettes in 2012, from strict masculinity and femininity to greater personality and gender neutral fashion in 2021.

"To celebrate an anniversary is not only a chance to celebrate a milestone, but also to reflect on the past. What has made Emporio Armani so enduring? Its values - cornerstones of contemporary society, relevant in 1981 as they are today. Identity, community, sustainability. These are the principles at the heart of Emporio Armani. They tie us to one another, they’re our shared heritage and our future," - representatives of the brand told described the project.
