The first in the history digital Fashion Week has begun in the Decentraland metaverse. The platform for Metaverse Fashion Week (MVFW) was a virtual fashion district, whose architecture resembles the Parisian Avenue Montaigne.

The event will take place over four days, during which users of the platform will be able not only to attend virtual shows for free, but also to buy the items they like in digital format at one of the metaverse outlets. Concerts, lectures, film screenings and music parties are also waiting for visitors.

Digital collections from Dolce & Gabbana, Hugo Boss, Gucci, Balenciaga, Burberry, Ralph Lauren and many other giants of the fashion business will be shown as the part of Metaverse Fashion Week. Many of these brands have already presented individual digital models in NFT format. It will also be possible to watch the shows of digital fashion houses The Fabricant, FEWOCiOUS, which do not produce physical clothes at all. The fashion district will also include shops where you can buy clothes for digital avatars, as well as services that will sew digital models in physical reality.
“We aimed to present fashion in every possible form, from runway shows to retail, fashion presented in ways that transcend reality because anything is possible in the metaverse,” says project curator David Cash.
More than 60 brands and designers will take part in the Digital Fashion Week. According to the organizers, the virtual fashion week will become a regular event in the fashion calendar. Entrance to the fashion week of the Decentraland platform is here.
