“The Most Emotionally Charged Collection I’ve Ever Done”: Zuhair Murad Presented Couture Spring 2021 Collection

Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad unveiled the new couture collection of his namesake brand for the spring 2021 season.

By the designer’s own reckoning, his new collection is the most emotionally charged one he’s ever done because it speaks directly about his love of Lebanon. Trendy looks were inspired by two steadfast symbols: the woman and the Lebanese cedar tree. Zuhair Murad intended to explore the sacred connection between women and nature. As planned, his heroine goes on a mystical journey through the sacred cedar forest in search of self-knowledge. The name of the collection speaks for itself - "Au Pays du Cèdre et des Femmes".

The collection includes luxurious dresses made of translucent fabrics, as well as jumpsuits made in a noble golden shade. In addition to gold, the designer used delicate natural colors - smoky gray, dusty green, milky white and ivory. According to tradition, Zuhair Murad decorated his new fashionable looks with embroidery from silver and Lurex, as well as feathers and lace.
