The Lyst Index for the first quarter of 2021 is based on global Lyst and Google search data, conversion rates and sales, as well as brand and product social media mentions and engagement statistics worldwide over a three-month period.
So, Gucci once again tops Lyst's ranking of hottest brands, which the platform attributes to a strong demand from online shoppers over the past few months. Nike ranked second, while French luxury label Dior entered the list strong, rounding out the top three. Balenciaga, Moncler, Prada, Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent and Off-White also landed in the top 10 of the Lyst Index.
Among the quarter’s most sought-after products for women are The North Face x Gucci GG canvas bomber jacket, Hermes pre-owned Kelly bags and Bottega Veneta Lug boots.Men were on the lookout for pieces including the Moncler Gui vest, Prada logo bucket hat and futuristic Adidas YEEZY 450 sneakers.
As for the main fashion trends, according to the authors of the report, they indicate that people are a little tired of the sporty style, which was at the peak of popularity during the lockdown. Thus, consumers look for balance glamour and comfort (the demand for dresses and high-heeled shoes increased by more than 200%). Among the most popular products were women's mules. There is a growing interest in the pre-owned product category.
