Velvet Puffers, Lace Jumpsuits and Acid-Washed Jeans in Tom Ford Fall Winter 2021.22 Collection

Work on the Fall Winter 2021 collection turned out to be a real challenge for Tom Ford. Initially, the designer planned to present it during New York Fashion Week, which took place back in mid-February, but then, due to pandemic restrictions, he had to postpone the show date several times. In the end, he decided to present it via lookbook format on the social networks of his brand.

Despite the fact that now many brands are trying to develop towards neutrois tendency and create clothes that both men and women can easily fit into their wardrobe, Tom Ford, on the contrary, resurrects a long-forgotten sexuality trend and invites everyone not to save their best outfits for red carpets or parties, but put them on every single day. He calls us to mix translucent blouses with acid-washed jeans, and ultrashort silk shorts with oversized sweaters to fell like a real rock star from the 80’s.

In an interview, Tom Ford admitted that this collection had become one of the most provocative of his long career in the fashion world, and noted that he considered beautiful clothes to be one of the best ways to increase self-confidence. This season, he cleverly plays not only with fabrics and silhouettes, easily combining luxurious velvet and casual knitwear, voluminous shapes and accents on the figure. He successfully finds the perfect balance in the color palette of looks, moving from gray and black tones to flashes of yellow, fuchsia  and indigo color and then again returning to the classics.
