Following Miuccia Prada, Silvia Venturini Fendi demonstrated her vision of femininity at Milan fashion Week. The designer was looking for inspiration in the atmosphere of the Noir films of the 40’s, but didn’t obviously referred to the retro style. Her new AF 2020 collection included midi dresses, leather coats, suits with skirts and cardigans. The paisley meets leopard print body of a jacket was made of mink, but upcycled.

Adhering to a rather strict color palette with a predominance of pink, olive, terracotta and yellow hues, the designer focuses on unusual silhouettes, accessories and details. Puffed sleeves that decorate not only dresses, but also coats and jackets, looked interesting and attracted much attention. For elegant gloves of fine leather, which the designer offers to wear with sleeveless blouses and dresses, applause is due.
Fendi presents sexy looks, but insists that girls should dress this way for self-gratification rather than that of others. Therefore, the designer emphasizes the femininity due to the "hourglass" silhouette, necklines and cuts, but in contrast uses the fabrics in muted colors and minimal accessories.

Jill Kortleve and Paloma Elsesser tonight became the first ever so-called “plus size” models to walk a Fendi runway. Silvia Fendi said that this decision cannot be called a great achievement yet, but the brand has begun to move in the direction of a variety of modes, and it deserves respect. Most popular models of modernity, Bella and Gigi Hadid and Kaia Gerber also hit the Prada catwalk.
