The famous supermodel, “America’s Next Top Model” host, Tyra Banks is postponing the opening of her theme park ModelLand. Previously, the model planned to create it Santa Monica Place in Santa Monica, Calif.
“In light of the recommendations of the CDC, WHO, and California Governor Gavin Newsom, we have decided to postpone the opening of ModelLand,” said a statement released by ModelLand reps on Wednesday morning. “Will continue to monitor the situation and determine a new date to open that is appropriate and safe. We remain excited to bring the wonderous world of ModelLand to you and will wait to welcome you to our attraction when the time is right.”
Many people call Tyra Banks the modern Willy Wonka, but, apparently, the wonderful world will have to wait a little longer. Earlier, the TV presenter noted that the theme park will be dedicated to the world of models. “It’s my calling to bring modeling to the masses. It’s a permanent attraction anchoring the mall,” Banks added. “I’m inspired by Disneyland, a place I went to a lot as a child. There is a storyline I have been working on for a year. Anybody can enter and feel like a model.” Unfortunately, a new date for the opening of the park has not yet been announced, but we hope that this will happen in the near future.
