Yesterday, Hamburg’s Elbe Philharmonic Hall hosted Chanel pre-fall show called Métiers d’art. For the first time ever, Karl Lagerfeld decided to stage this show in his mother country.
All the looks were thought out to the last detail: minimalistic pieces made of tweed and wool were matched with elegant hairstyles and smoky eyes.
Various caps shrouded in veils made of dark tulle were the leitmotif of the show. Colors and textures of the headdresses and the outfits were perfectly paired, so, the collection featured caps made of tweed, wool, leather and other materials. This season, sea was the key inspiration source as one of the biggest European harbors is located in Hamburg. This marine vibe was reflected in the accessories: headpieces reminded of sailors’ caps embellished with tiny anchors or steer wheels.
Hairstyle supported the mood of the show, too. Some of the girls had ‘fishbone’ braids, some showcased negligent loose hairstyles that made them look frightened by the sea wind.
Eyes were the key accent of the makeup at Chanel show. Grey smoky eyes contrasted beautifully with pale skin and nude lips.
В макияже стилисты Chanel решили сделать акцент на глаза – серые «смоки» создавали интересный контраст бледной коже и нюдовым оттенкам помады.
Jewelry was a perfect finishing touch to the outfits, as fine diamond straps, sophisticated chockers, stripy bracelets and long black leather gloves introduced a feminine and flirty vibe.
