Christian Wijnants fall-winter 20/21 collection is partly experimental for the brand, broadening its horizons to the new textures and fabric combinations. Throughout all of the garments, it is not difficult to trace the specific role that is given to knitwear, one of the 2020 top-trends - the sweater-pants combinations, the maxi dresses, and the turtleneck jumpers. The pastel creamy look is underlined by the red wine leather handbag.
Most of the silhouettes are loose and quite minimalist. The neon orange skirt and oversized sweater combination are the representation of the "relaxed and easy mood" that the designer envisioned to create with his clothes.
One of the primary slogans of the campaign was Wijnants phrase: "I like when you're not even sure what something is, but it's a little bit antique, and I love the idea of an old museum that's been that way for a century." This vision influenced the collection's choice of the prints: abstract, mostly in snake-like black and white or bluish overtones they add some playfulness to the generally calm and monochrome looks.
The collection offers both models in the style of the neutral pajamas, comfortable to wear daily, and also more sophisticated pieces in bright hues.
