Last summer, Maria Grazia Chiuri showed her cruise collection right in front of the Lecce Cathedral. The scenery of the fashion show was reminiscent of a real cathedral: the stained-glass windows were decorated in the form of collages, while the models went to the catwalk to the accompaniment of a female choir.
The inspiration for the new Dior collection was the East: ethnic prints, flower embroidery, and paisley patterns are found on robes, dresses made of flying fabric, suede jackets, and oversized jackets. Oriental leitmotifs can also be traced in turbans, headbands of ribbons, and spectacular ponchos.
This time, the brand's iconic semi-transparent dresses take pride of place in the collection. But if you are not yet ready for such fashion experiments, pay attention to clothes with multicolored stripes - next spring, they will surely be in trend. The new Dior collection also includes knitted shorts, high-collared blouses, floor-length dresses, oversized jackets, and midi-length skirts.
In addition to pieces with ethnic and floral prints, the collection has many versatile everyday looks such as a duo of the fitted blazer and the midi skirt in gray shades that you can wear for a walk and in the office as well.
As for the shoes, Dior offers to choose flip flops, woven sandals, and lace-up flats, and don't forget about the accessories - they will help to make even the simplest look special.
