Fendi

For Silvia Venturini Fendi, the spring-summer 2020 collection is the first one, she worked independently on upon the death of Karl Lagerfeld. The maestro was a permanent creative director of the fashion house over the years.

“When summer gets closer, my state of mind changes.” So, what does that look like exactly? “The emotion of simple things, of real clothes and simple materials that remind me of summer”, the designer explained. We must admit, that all the looks turned out to be rather wearable. You can separate them into different pieces and add to your basic wardrobe. Or you can take the design idea as a whole, dressing in a total look and feeling absolutely comfortable.

The collection is based on a playing with texture (for example, the use of quilted fabrics, mixing fur with other materials), a reference to the 60s, which can be guessed both in silhouettes and in large floral prints, translucent fabrics. Quilted bombers and skirts, plaid shorts and dresses, loose pants of all shades of caramel color, elongated blazers made of wool and fur, as well as miniature bags that you may wear as decoration are among the obvious hits of the collection.
