The performer of one of the main roles in the fantasy series “Supernatural” Jared Padalecki will star in the remake of the cult series “Walker, Texas Ranger”. According to preliminary information, Padalecki will play as the protagonist of the series - the Texas ranger Cordell Walker, whose role at one time brought fame to Chuck Norris.
The original series “Walker, Texas Ranger” gained popularity not only among the audience, but also among the critics, which allowed it to stay on the air for 8 years, during which 8 full-fledged seasons and 1 pilot, consisting of three episodes, were released. In total, 270 episodes of the series were released. The popularity of the project allowed to release several successful books based on the main plot, as well as spin-offs.
The series gained fame largely due to the detailed study of scenes with martial arts, which brought glory to Chuck Norris. The plot focuses on a Vietnam War veteran and former Marine Cordell Walker. Walker stands guard over justice, adheres to the principles of the code, and also listens to his own conscience. Together with his assistants, Cordell investigates crimes and does everything possible to punish criminals in accordance with the laws.
At the moment, CBS has just begun developing the series, however, according to rumors, this will not be a full-fledged remake, but a new version of the television show, so the action may be postponed today. However, the main character, played by Padalecki, will retain the basic features of the original Cordell Walker performed by Chuck Norris and will continue to combat crime.
Actor Jared Padalecki became famous thanks to the role of Sam Winchester in the popular series “Supernatural”, which has 14 seasons and more than 300 episodes. The actor also played one of the roles in the series "Gilmore Girls".
