“Naughty” Christmas Sweater Was Banned

Last weekend, the Ugly Christmas Clothing collection appeared on Walmart website. However, some items caused bewilderment and commotion among Internet users. One of the sweaters attracted special attention. It depicted a snowman Santa sitting in front of what appears to be three lines of cocaine. The print was signed with the phrase: "Let it snow". Even more users were confused by the product description: “We all know how snow works. It’s white, powdery and the best snow comes straight from South America. That’s bad news for jolly old St. Nick, who lives far away in the North Pole.” Most social networks’ users reacted to the joke very negatively.

Other cheeky Christmas sweaters included one that showed a bottomless Santa facing a fireplace with the caption, “Chestnuts roasting on an open fire”.

A Walmart spokesman wrote in an email, reiterating its earlier apology over the weekend: “These sweaters, sold by a third-party seller on Walmart.ca, do not represent Walmart’s values and have no place on our website. We have removed these products from our marketplace. We apologize for any unintended offence this may have caused.”

Despite the fact that Walmart removed scandalous items from the site, many users managed to screen up the "adult" collection. Therefore, a photo of a “naughty” sweater is now actively walking on the network.
