Princess Beatrice and her fiancée, Edouardo Mapelli-Mozzi’s wedding is in jeopardy because of a scandal involving Prince Andrew.
Princess Beatrice’s surroundings are worried about her condition. The news of the engagement of Beatrice of York (31) and millionaire Edoardo Mapelli-Mozzi (34) was overshadowed by a sex scandal involving the bride's father, Prince Andrew. The conflict caused a wide resonance, and under pressure from the media and the public, the Duke of York was forced to step back from his public duties last month. The situation seriously damaged the reputation of all members of the Royal family, but Beatrice was most affected.
It was expected that the Princess will arrange a magnificent wedding celebration, which was supposed to be broadcast live. However, now the family is afraid that this will cause an additional surge of criticism against her. In order not to attract too much attention, Beatrice already had to cancel the engagement party, to which members of the Royal family and many celebrities were invited.
Royal expert Phil Dampier believes that the Princess will have to abandon the magnificent wedding and arrange will have a 'low key' wedding just for family and closest friends.
“In the wake of her dad’s problems I’d be absolutely shocked if it was televised live and I’m pretty certain it’ll be a low key affair, possibly private and she’ll release one or two photos afterwards.”
Princess Beatrice's wedding is scheduled for next summer.
