GQ named Jennifer Lopez the “Icon of the Year”. The 50-year-old actress and singer appeared on the cover of 2019 GQ “Men Of The Year Issue” in a tight-fitting black leather dress and gave a frank interview in which she talked about her career, relations with her fiancé Alex Rodriguez and preparations for her upcoming performance at the Super Bowl Halftime. In an interview, Jennifer talked about the sensational film “Hustlers”,

in which the actress played a leading role and which was warmly received by critics and spectators. The actress admitted that she agreed to star in the film for free.

“I do things because I love them. I didn’t get paid a whole bunch of money for Hustlers,” she says. “I did it for free and produced it. I bank on myself. That’s the Jenny From the Block. I do what I want, I do what I love.”

Jennifer also spoke about her affair with 44-year-old baseball player Alex Rodriguez. In March of this year, it became known about the upcoming wedding of the couple: after two years of relationship, Alex made a proposal to his lover.

“I mean, we're very similar. We're really alike in our drive, in our ambition. He's an athlete. He wanted to be the best. I'm the same way. I just want to be great at what I do. We're both like that. We're both super-hard workers. We're driven by our passions. And we have a tremendous amount of respect for each other”.

One of the important topics of the interview was the upcoming performance of Jennifer Lopez and singer Shakira at the Super Bowl 2020, which will be held in Miami. Recall, earlier, Alex Rodriguez said that Lopez burst into tears when she learned that she was to perform at such an important event. In an interview, Jennifer confirmed that it was a huge responsibility for her.

“I feel that it's a great thing to have two Latina women in Miami headlining the Super Bowl, and what we could do with those 12 to 14 minutes to make people understand our worth and value in this country.… I think it could be a really beautiful celebration”.
