The opening of the Kimono: Kyoto to Catwalk exhibition in London was one of the most anticipated fashion events of the year. However, the Victoria and Albert Museum was forced to prematurely close the exhibition due to the coronavirus epidemic. Fortunately, the organizers decided to conduct a virtual tour to allow us to see luxurious exhibits first-hand.

The Victoria and Albert Museum has published a series of short films that allow you to examine the exhibits in detail. The exposition is dedicated to the art of creating a kimono, the history of this traditional costume, and the impact that oriental aesthetics have on the development of modern fashion trends.

A tour of the exhibition is conducted by curator Anna Jackson. The audience will see outfits from past eras, more modern works by Jean-Paul Gaultier, John Galliano, and other famous designers. Five videos with a virtual tour can be found on the official YouTube channel of the museum.
