Beautiful, healthy and thick head of hair is the subject of female pride. But what if more and more hair left on the comb?

Why hair falling out?

Hair loss is a physiological process. The rate of loss is different for each person. Usually, we lose around 100 - 200 hairs a day. Most of the hair falls out during washing and combing. Normally, on the spot of fallen hair a new one grows, and thus the density of hair practically doesn’t change.

Do you need to panic if your hair started falling harder?

Before buying expensive products from hair loss, find out the reason.

Endocrine disruptors

One of the main causes of hair loss is hormonal imbalance. The imbalance of hormones can occur due to:

  • Problems with the thyroid gland
  • Diabetes
  • Menopause, etc.

What to do? You must consult an endocrinologist. The doctor can prescribe the necessary examination and treatment.

Chronic stress

Unfortunately, chronic fatigue, lack of sleep and stress are the symbols of modern lifestyle. All these factors lead to the disruption of many body systems, and as a result, we get the malnutrition of the hair. By the way, the key stress event could occur from a few weeks to a few months ago.

What to do? It may sound cliché, but a full-fledged rest and sleep, hobby and physical activity bring not only good mood, but also help to preserve a beautiful appearance.

Beriberi

The deficit of vitamins and microelements is the enemy of healthy hair. Key defenders of our stacks are:

  • Vitamin C – helps absorb iron, strengthens the capillaries that feed the hair and supports the immune system. It can be found in citrus fruits, kiwi, rosehips, black currants.
  • B vitamins - help to cope with stress, normalize metabolism, improve the skin condition. A lot of vitamin B are in whole grains, eggs, yeast and liver. It’s also worth adding to the diet cheese, green lentils, nuts.
  • Iron – iron deficiency causes anemia. Common symptoms of anemia - fatigue, weakness, apathy are the reason to go to the doctor and be tested for hemoglobin, serum iron, ferritin.

What to do? To eat in a balanced way, don’t keep mono-diet and take vitamins.

The change in temperature

Sharp temperature fluctuations, the sun in the summer and cold in winter adversely affect sensitive scalp.

What to do? In winter, it’s important to do a hydrating mask and hide your hair under a hood or hat. You also shouldn’t go out with wet hair as keratin tends to freeze, and hair becomes brittle. In summer, use oil or a spray with thermal protection. And don’t forget about the headgear, staying under the sun.

Improper care

Don’t comb wet hair! Frequent drying with hot air, the use of curling irons and flat irons can also injure hair and even exacerbate existing problems.

What to do? Try to limit the use of hair dryers, curling irons and styling products. It’s better to dry your hair naturally or with a hairdryer at the lowest temperature. Be sure to use the balm after washing and a hair mask twice a week.

Which specialist treats hair?

A competent trichologist will conduct a detailed medical history, examine the hair and scalp’s condition, prescribe the necessary tests and treatment.
