Harry Potter star Emma Watson took part in the launch of an online calculator that lets you evaluate how dangerous for the environment your love for shopping is.

Emma Watson, 29, has been advocating for the environment for many years. One of Emma's latest initiatives is the creation of a special online calculator. Together with ThredUP, Watson has released an online tool that offers an assessment of how much harm our love for shopping does to the environment.

“Our closets impact the planet and climate more than you might realize, which is why I am proud to partner with ThredUP to launch their new Fashion Footprint Calculator.  They created an easy to use tool, and I’m so excited to help people discover the carbon impact of their wardrobes, and steps you can take to lighten your fashion footprint” - said Emma, inviting her subscribers to participate in the survey.

After answering a few questions, you can find out your carbon footprint and how your shopping affects the greenhouse gas emissions. Since the launch of the calculator, six female writers, including food blogger Esther Walker and fashion department editor Amber Graafland, have passed the test. They also shared their impressions. According to them, before passing the test, they couldn’t even imagine how much their purchases harm the environment.
