Since April 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will officially abandon the status of senior members of the royal family and gain financial independence: the couple promised to split their time between the UK and North America. They have spent the past few months in Canada, but the spouses don’t plan to stay in this country constantly. They want their little son Archie to grow up in a more favorable climate, and are already looking for a home in California.

However, the couple plans to prepare for life near the ocean gradually: the couple is keen to sample Malibu before laying down any long term roots. According to sources, after their official royal duties come to an end on March 31, they plan to move to a cottage in Malibu, The huge eight bedroom, ten bathroom property costs a hefty $15,950 a night.

The Malibu mansion is located in California, where they would be close to Meghan's mother Doria Ragland and have better access to Silicon Valley and Hollywood. They say, that the girl plans to resume her acting career and begin voicing cartoons. Caitlin Jenner, Mel Gibson and Robert Downey Jr may become Meghan and Harry’s neighbors.

If the spouses are satisfied with life in Malibu, they will move to California and acquire their property. Despite the fact that the Dukes of Sussex will no longer receive money from the UK budget, they will be able to rely on profits from advertising campaigns and brand contracts.  Now the live with baby Archie at a luxurious $18million waterside mansion on Vancouver Island in Canada.
