American supermodel Kendall Jenner took part in an unusual photo shoot for Garage magazine. The author of the photo shoot is British Ghanian fashion photographer Campbell Eddie: inspired by Italian conceptual artist Maurizio Cattelan, he created his own series of interesting shots with Kendall in the title role.
Nude Jenner seems to emerge from a wall (her hands covering her breasts). Thanks to this effect, Kendall Jenner looks like a wax bust.
The picture is an homage to Cattelan’s famed work Stephanie(2003), a sculpture that features collector Peter Brant’s wife, Stephanie Seymour, in a similar pose. That piece, which Cattelan has frequently called “Trophy Wife,” sold at a Phillips contemporary art auction in November 2010 for $2.4 million to Jose Mugrabi.
Kendall Jenner also reproduced the famous installation with pigeons, a reference to the Cattelan installation at the 2011 Venice Biennale, as well as suspended from the ceiling and mounted to the wall, like one of Cattelan's famous series of taxidermy horses.
