Gigi Hadid stuns on the cover Harper's Bazaar’s April issue, out on newsstands March 24. For her cover story, the 24-year-old model was interviewed by her famous friends including - Taylor Swift, Serena Williams, Virgil Abloh, Kendall Jenner and Blake Lively. She shared what helps her to find a balance between work and personal life, how it relates to setbacks and how she spends her free time.

Gigi said that her honesty with herself and with others helps her to find a way out of stressful situations. “I’ve realized over time that I feel the most free when I express myself, whether through action, writing, or talking it out. Being honest always leads to something good, even if it takes a hard or awkward moment or conversation to get there; you can never go wrong with telling someone how you feel and speaking your truth. And you always learn something from it,” admitted the model.

She loves to spend her free time on the farm and escape there from work. "The farm has really made me remember, and bring back to my life, my most simple pleasures. It’s allowed me to fill my days off with the little things that make me happy, like art, gardening, yoga, cooking, being outside, and spending time with my loved ones and animals without having to worry about things like what I’m wearing or how my hair looks, or being photographed or seen that day. Being away from the city and the public eye makes me feel like a kid again, and that freedom has been really healing for me. I ended up giving up on the big one and made a small-scale version, which worked a lot better! I like the “Try and fail and try again” method. It keeps it fun and interesting for me, and even through failures you can learn so much."

actual jumping out of the plane is scarier than the falling. The view is the best part. I always told myself that if I did it again, I’d do it in a different place every time, because that perspective is one of a kind and unforgettable. It still terrifies me, which is why I want to do it again. It’s exhilarating, and I’m more of a sports-based risk-taker than anything else in life. I’d love to visit New Zealand or Iceland one day, so maybe I’ll do it in one of those places—if they allow skydiving? We must have run out of ketchup, so I dipped the fries in the mashed potatoes—and eureka!”

More than that, the model explains how and when she discovered french fries with mashed potatoes as a thing to eat: “I don’t remember exactly what night this was, but it was probably after a few passion fruit martinis at Le Chalet at L’Avenue at Saks, which makes my favorite mashed potatoes on the planet”.
