Today, all the world’s attention is focused on the Golden Globes Award ceremony. But a single event of this magnitude can’t do without curious moments. We’re going to share with you the most controversial moments of the past award.

While most of the nominees took the stage to speak about the need to fight fires in Australia, the British comedian Ricky Gervais couldn’t ignore Hollywood corruption, Jeffrey Epstein, Prince Andrew and Greta Thunberg. Ricky Gervais is known for his blunt and divisive sense of humor, and this year there wasn’t a soul in the room who was safe. “You’ll be pleased to know this is the last time I’m hosting these awards, so I don’t care anymore”, he began. He shocked Golden Globes with his joke about Prince Andrew and Leonardo DiCaprio. Discussing the actor's recent movie Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Gervais complained it was too long. He joked: Leonardo DiCaprio attended the premiere and by the end, his date was too old for him.” Amid laughter from the star-studded audience, Gervais added: “Even Prince Andrew is like, ''come on Leo mate, you're nearly 50, son''.” Inside the event, cameras caught Leo's reaction. It seemed the actor - who is currently dating 22-year-old Camila Morrone - was able to poke fun at himself, blushing and smiling while the rest of the room cracked up.

Most celebrities appeared on the red carpet in stunning outfits, but there were some fashionable failures this year. This time, actor Jason Momoa, Game of Thrones and Aquaman star, demonstrated a very strange outfit. While most of his colleagues chose classic tuxedos for the ceremonial arrival, Jason came to the ceremony in a vest top. This outfit did emphasize Momoa’s muscles and pleased his fans, but it should be noted that, this look is entirely inappropriate for such an event as the Golden Globes.

Many still remember how, after receiving the long-awaited Oscar, Leonardo DiCaprio forgot the statuette in the lobby of the center where the event was held. None of the winners has lost their Golden Globe this year, but Awkwafina, the first Asian-American woman to win a Golden Globe Award for best actress, winning in the musical or comedy category for her role in The Farewell was very original, too. “If I fall upon hard times, we can sell this,”Awkwafina said in her speech, hoisting her trophy in the air. “So that’s good.”
