Russian model Irina Shayk traditionally honored the memory of her beloved grandmother on Victory Day. Every year on May 9, Irina exposes a photo of Galiya Gainislamovna, who was a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, and touching words in her honor.
Irina's grandmother passed away in 2013, she died at the age of 90, but despite this, the model keeps her bright memory, calls her the most courageous, cheerful and brave woman. Galiya Gainislamovna went to the front very young, went through the war, after which she lived a long happy life. “We are proud of you and love you! Only a strong woman like you can volunteer to go to war at the age of 19 to defend our homeland. We will always remember and love you. You are a role model. Strong, brave,” Irina Shayk wrote on her blog a few years ago. “Eternal glory to the heroes!”
In 2022, the model, who has been living and working in America for a long time, decided not to provoke her subscribers and limited herself to a short story, writing only: “Beloved grandmother! We remember and we are proud. Irina's Russian fans thanked her for her touching congratulations on May 9th.
