Yesterday the UK celebrated Mother's Day. Due to the spread of the coronavirus, many families weren’t able to gather in full, but didn’t despair and congratulated each other virtually. Ex-footballer David Beckham did his best and not only thanked his family, but also dedicated touching words to all the girls in the world. He took to ******* to post a photo of his wife Victoria, mother and grandmother and captioned that these are the most amazing women in his life, whom he misses so much.

David’s second post was dedicated to all women all over the world and shared touching photos he took while traveling with the UNICEF foundation. "Through my work, I have had the opportunity to meet so many amazing mums and their children all over the world. Here are some pictures taken before the world was gripped by this awful virus. This Mother’s Day, lets celebrate our own mums but also all of the mothers doing their very best to protect their families in these uncertain times." In the comments to this post, David invited his followers to share inspiring stories about their mothers and tell about how they are changing the world for the better day by day.

Victoria Beckham also congratulated her mother and wrote that she would like to spend this day next to her, but now she can’t do this for security reasons. "Today we celebrate a Mother’s Day like no other in the experience of our generation. So many of us won’t be able to see our mums today. Most of us will be sending them virtual love and gratitude," – the designer captioned.

Kate Middleton and Prince William also shared archival family photos. "To mothers new and old and families spending today together and apart – we are thinking of you all at this difficult time," the couple captioned the ******* photo. The first photo, taken in Norfolk in 2018, shows the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The other two pictures are dedicated to William’s mother Princess Diana and Kate's mother – Carole Middleton. The Duchess also shared a photo of a holiday card with flowers in a yellow vase that Prince George made for her.

Singer Rita Ora also made a funny gift for her mom – she drew a picture and dedicated it to all the doctors and nurses who work in hospitals during this difficult time.
