This week, Britain was shocked by the news that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning to abandon the authority of senior members of the royal family and their privileges. The Sussex spouses reported this in their ******* account, and, according to insiders, neither Elizabeth II nor other family members were aware of their decision.

Not surprisingly, the Queen was discouraged by Harry and Megan’s decision. Nevertheless, Elizabeth held an emergency meeting with her teams to work rapidly to negotiate Meghan and Harry’s exit from the British royal family. This will require lengthy negotiations, however, apparently, Prince Harry will have to conduct business with the royal family on his own: his wife, alone, fled London for Canada, where her eight-month-old son Archie is waiting for her. Markle and little Archie are supposed to spend some time in North America until the biggest royal storm in history settles down.

Recall that Harry and Megan decided to step down as “senior” royals and funding in order to be able to lead a more independent life. In particular, the couple plan to live not only in the UK, but also in North America.

Meanwhile, experts report that Megan and Harry can still retain their titles as Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Despite the fact that the Queen has the right to deprive her grandson of his title, she most likely won’t do this in order to avoid a repeat of the situation with Princess Diana. In addition, the refusal of financing is also called a formality: the spouses would still support the Queen and take money from Prince Charles’ Duchy of Cornwall Estate. More than that, their overseas trips and guards will continue to be financed from the budget allocated for the maintenance of the royal family.
