The Hollywood Critics Association Awards annual ceremony took place on Thursday, January 9, in Los Angeles. The event was held at the Taglyan Complex and brought together the first magnitude stars.
It was the actress Olivia Wilde who did hit the ceremony. This time, both critics and audience appreciated not the outstanding acting skills of 35-year-old Olivia, but her directorial debut. Olivia Wilde’s “Booksmart” took home three awards, for best female director for Wilde, best performance by an actress 23 and under for Kaitlyn Dever, and best comedy/musical, tied with “Rocketman”.
Olivia looked elegant in the low-cut pleated dress, which was adorned with ornate floral patterns and gold accents. A massive pendant with a green stone embedded became an interesting detail. Olivia preferred bright makeup that evening, and smoky eyes technique completed the festive image. Her hairstyle was pretty simple: the beauty wore her blonde tresses in gentle curls that cascaded over her shoulders.
