Selena Gomez (27) gave a candid interview with NPR on Sunday and revealed shocking details of her relationship with Justin Bieber (25). It turned out that the affair, which was happily followed by fans, was toxic.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez started dating in 2010, and their relationships lasted for several years, during which young people repeatedly parted and converge again. Many fans of the couple still hope for their reunion, despite the fact that this fall Justin got married to his new lover Hailey Baldwin. Fans could only wonder, what Selena does think about it, because the hitmaker tried not to comment on this situation by today.

However, in an interview with radio station NPR, Gomez finally told about what she really feels. The singer admitted that the romance with Bieber made her miserable.

I do feel I was a victim to certain abuse [during the relationship]” said the former Disney star. When asked by the reporter if she was referring to 'emotional abuse', Gomez replied in the affirmative. “Yes, and I think that it's something that — I had to find a way to understand it as an adult.”

As much as I definitely don't want to spend the rest of my life talking about this, I am really proud that I can say I feel the strongest I've ever felt and I've found a way to just walk through it with as much grace as possible”, Selena concluded.

Recall that a few weeks ago Selena released the song "Lose You To Love Me", which Selena confirmed was about her on-off relationship with Justin Bieber. “It's not a hateful song; it's a song that is saying — I had something beautiful and I would never deny that it wasn't that. 'It was very difficult and I'm happy it's over.”
