Chanel has unveiled a new ad campaign dedicated to the Métiers d'Art 2020/21 demi-couture collection. The actress and CHANEL ambassador Kristen Stewart became the face of the atmospheric video and stylized photo shoot.
Kristen Stewart embarks on a romantic chassé-croisé before the lens of photographer Juergen Teller. The actress appeared in a black leather jacket adorned with pearls, studs and jewelled buttons is worn over a black organza dress that plays with transparency - as it is romantic - an ivory lace blouse with a black chiffon skirt and an embroidered belt.
The new campaign was shot at the Château de Chenonceau, a 16th-century castle in France's Loire Valley, which had served as an inspiration for the collection, and was the location of the show last December, where Stewart had been the only guest.
Against an autumnal backdrop, mixing nature and architecture, around the château and in its park, these photographs express the modernity of the collection imagined by Virginie Viard with the support of the savoir-faire of CHANEL's Métiers d'art, including Lesage, Montex, Lemarié, Lognon, Goossens, Maison Michel and Massaro.
