Italian rock-band Måneskin, winners of the international Eurovision Song Contest 2021, are the heroes of the new Gucci Aria campaign.
Damiano David, Victoria de Angelis, Thomas Raggi and Ethan Torchio hit the song contest not only for their musical talent, but also for their daring images. It seemed, that they returned us to the David Bowie and Freddie Mercury’s era with bright patent leather, jumpsuits with cutouts on the verge of decency, sequins, flared trousers and daring negligence.
Fans of the band and the fashion industry have repeatedly noted on social networks that rock musicians of the new era perfectly reflect the spirit of the Gucci fashion house. And, apparently, their appeal was heard by the brand’s leadership: Damiano, Victoria, Thomas and Ethan became the faces of the new Gucci collection.
The musicians tried on the Gucci Aria collection’s looks, created by the creative director of the brand, Alessandro Michele. In the lenses of photography duo of Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the musicians appeared in fur capes and over sleeves, tight-fitting leather trousers and harness, a shirt-front blouse and a pink jacket. The main accessory was the Jackie 1961 bag, created in collaboration with Balenciaga.
