Kanye West just brought his Sunday Service to Paris Fashion Week and no one was expecting it. A year ago, he announced that he started working on a new project – a series of mini-concerts called the "Sunday Service" in the religious meeting style. On March 1, he staged the first last-minute Sunday Service in Europe – in Paris, that hosts the fashion week these days.

Kanye announced the event just a day before its start, but he managed to gather many guests, who were not afraid of the outbreak of coronavirus and came to live to hear the hits of the artist. The Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord welcomed designers Olivier Rousteing, Haider Ackermann and Simon Port Acmus, model Joan Smalls, Kim Kardashian, and others.

The rapper has arranged the show for a reason: West also gave out invitations to his Yeezy Season 8 show at Paris Fashion Week, which is slated to launch on Monday night, March 2. Despite the increasingly popular trend, the rapper didn’t cancel the show or transform it into the format of the online broadcast. All participants of a Sunday Service gospel choir – that is, more than a hundred people – were dressed in Kanye’s clothes from head to toe.

His wife Kim Kardashian visited Paris for only the second time since 2016, when during the fashion week, robbers broke into her hotel room and stole jewelry, with total cost of more than $11 million. The young woman visited the show in a brown latex Balmain jumpsuit, which Olivier Rousteing presented at the runway just a few days ago.

According to eyewitnesses of the Sunday Service, the event brought together guests of the French capital and inspired them to continue working. As usual, the choir delivered gospel renditions of popular songs, including many of Kanye’s own hits from his latest album Jesus Is Born, including Soul II Soul Keep on Movin’ and That's How The Good Lord Works.
