Gucci Fashion House decided to completely immerse itself in the digital world and announced the start of accepting payments in cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin and Shiba Inu coins. The transition to the new payment system will take place before the end of May. First, several stores will appear in the US that will work with cryptocurrency, and by the summer of this year, such a payment system will cover absolutely all brand stores. The first Gucci pilot stores to test this update are Wooster Street in New York, Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles, The Shops at Crystals in Las Vegas, Miami Design District and Phipps Plaza in Atlanta.
“Gucci is committed to embracing new technologies if they can provide our customers with an enhanced experience. We can now integrate cryptocurrencies into our payment system,” said Gucci President and CEO Marco Bizzarri. The Off-White™ brand has also recently started accepting payments in cryptocurrency.
