Sales of Russian clothing on OZON grew 2.5 times in recent months

The online retailer Ozon reports that sales of Russian brands in April-May increased by an average of 2.5 times. Growth continues steadily: only in the first half of May, the demand for goods of domestic producers increased by 2.5 times, TASS reports. It also reports an increase in advertising revenue on the platform, in 2021 alone it more than doubled and amounted to 9.3 billion rubles. On average, every second seller on OZON orders ads for their products. The highest demand for clothing is observed on the eve of the New Year holidays and November sales.

In Q1 2022, Ozon improved its advertising platform: now third-party advertisers can also advertise on the site, and the number of advertising spaces for merchants has increased. At the same time, the number of scammers who take advantage of the gullibility of customers and ask them to pay for purchases on third-party services has also hanged on the marketplace.
