The beginning of autumn turned out to be quite hot for the fashion industry - one after another, Fashion Weeks were held in New York, London, Milan and Paris, where Prada, Valentino, Michael Kors and other brands presented their new collections. Despite the fact that the onset of the new fashion season is far away, it’s never too early to start preparing for it. First of all, we’ll be ready to meet it fully armed. And secondly, we can look closely at new trends and choose our favorites right now.

Shades of orange

This year, literally all shades of the rainbow could be found on the catwalks of the main fashion weeks, but orange stood out brightest of all colors. Max Mara, Etro, Boss, Prada and many other brands, which do not often come to such unanimity, agreed that orange is the one which will hit the next warm season. You can wear tangerine-colored things both in total looks and as accents: the easiest way to introduce it into your wardrobe is to buy a bright bag, sandals or a mini dress.

Animal prints

The idea that each print is for its own season has nothing to do with reality anymore. Designers have long proved to us that floral patterns look great not only on light dresses, but also on winter down jackets. And now they paid special attention to animalistic patterns: tiger and zebra stripes, leopard spots and snake skin. We’re sure, that even big cities will turn into real savannahs next summer!

Butterflies

This season, designers decided to study not only wild animals, but also the world of insects. They focused on the most beautiful of them - exotic butterflies. Blumarine and Alberta Ferretti took this topic seriously and presented crop tops that echoed the silhouettes of their wings, while Prada limited itself to prints on T-shirts. Now, inspiration can be found not only in lookbooks and stylish celebrities’ outfits, but also in documentaries about nature.

Emphasized sexuality

While security measures are still important, the darkest Covid-times, full of fear and uncertainty, are behind us. Oversized hoodies, pants and T-shirts are gone, too. Maybe, in the fall and winter they can still be useful,  but closer to April, it will definitely be possible to put them away in the closet and replace them with translucent dresses, tight-fitting overalls, skirts with extreme slits, curtain tops, revealing bras and blouses, when you see the underwear through them.

Not a day without sports

The trend for maximum femininity will become so popular that even a sporty style will not be spared. Silk joggers, tennis skirts, bright hoodies, short boxing shorts, sweatshirts with rhinestones and mini-dresses with polo collars - in the spring and summer of 2022, we’ll wear them both in everyday life and to parties. As an option, combine then with high-heeled shoes.

1990s grunge

In the spring-summer 2022 season, time travel won’t be so far away: jeans with holes, long-sleeved sweaters and printed T-shirts will take us straight to the 90s - all that remains is to turn on Metallica, The Cranberries and Guns N ' Roses in our headphones. By the way, designers manage to reproduce such an exact atmosphere also because, when creating new collections, they often use fabrics of that era or alter vintage. This way is not only stylish, but also environmentally friendly.

2000s glamor

There is great news for fans of Britney Spears and the Spice Girls - the main trends of the 2000s are returning to fashion, and the brightest of them are multi-colored crystals, low-waisted jeans, pink, glitter, fancy buckle belts and more.

"Openwork" items

An excellent way to escape the heat next summer will be "fishnet" items that have not lost their popularity for several seasons. But if earlier, knitted dresses predominated in the brands’ collections, now the imagination of designers has spread much further. So now they are ready to do literally everything that their soul desires in the technique of crochet, macrame and lace - right down to hats and swimsuits.

Patch pockets

Despite the clear course towards sexuality, some echoes of practicality will still remain in fashion next season. For example, now designers continue to confess their love to bulky patch pockets and decorate with them not only trousers, but also shorts, breeches, skirts and even dresses. If you wish, you can even use them for their intended purpose and put important little things there, like personal business cards or lipstick. But for sure, it won’t be very convenient. So, it’s better to take a stylish bag with you, especially since there are not many of them.
