Last Friday, Belgian designer Raf Simons presented his spring-summer 2021 collection 'Teenage Dream,' which has become a dream not only of all youngsters but also of the brand's female fans. This season, Simons decided to expand the selection of the self-titled brand, which previously specialized exclusively in menswear, and for the first time, included womenswear in the collection.

Raf Simons has more than once made the theme of youth and teen rebellious spirit as the leitmotif of his collections, but this time, the designer turned to his youth. "I don't want to show clothes, I want to show my attitude, my past, present, and future. I use memories and future visions and try to place them in today's world," he said.

For the presentation of the collection, Simons released an eerie 18-minute video in the spirit of classic horror, saturated with mysticism and secrecy. There is a logical explanation for this: while working on the new line, the designer was inspired by many films from different eras - from Antonioni's Zabriskie Point and Guillermo del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth to horrors like The Scream and A Nightmare on Elm Street. The collection includes bright knitted turtlenecks with 'Welcome Children Of The Revolution Home' lettering, black straight silhouette dresses with badges, oversized jackets, and sweaters, silk maxi skirts, latex garments, coats decorated with old photos, capes with abstract psychedelic prints, and many others.
