Snap, which owns the Snapchat service, introduced the virtual shoe fitting feature using augmented reality technology. Gucci is turned out to be the first brand to try it. The Shoe Try-on function allows a user to point the smartphone's camera to their feet to see how the model of interest will look like in reality.
The application is already available in Italy, the UK, France, the United States, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and Japan. Now Snapchat users from these countries will be able to virtually try on some iconic models of Gucci shoes and order them directly from the app.
